Michigan Supreme Court Update

Posted April 9th, 2018

On April 6, 2018 the Michigan Supreme Court ordered oral argument to determine whether the Court will accept our appeal. This is a very positive step forward. This does not mean that we have won or that the Supreme Court will ultimately accept the case.

We have been asked to provide additional briefing to the Court on the legal issues. The UIA will get a chance to respond after that. The Court will also set a date for oral argument. When that happens, we will update you with the time and date. As always, it would be helpful if as many victims of the false fraud attend the arguments.

The matter has been fully briefed and we are awaiting a decision from the Michigan Supreme Court. We are cautiously optimistic that the Michigan Supreme Court will reinstate the Bauserman Class Action, permitting tens of thousands of Michiganders to recover money seized by the Unemployment Insurance Agency. We will update this site when we have received a decision from the Michigan Supreme Court.
